The Tirana police announce that they have arrested the 29-year-old driver Elinta Garo, who hit three pedestrians with her car yesterday evening on the sidewalk near Kodra e Diellit.

The authorities also announce that the injured pedestrians, citizens Valentina Hysa and Alkuna Telhaj, after receiving first medical aid, have left their homes, while citizen Bagzan Hysa, Valentina's husband, is still in the hospital under the care of doctors.

The cause of the accident is suspected to have been the use of the phone by the driver Garo, losing control of the vehicle and then ending up on the sidewalk, taking pedestrians in front.

Initially, she hit the 27-year-old identified as Alkuna Telhaj. In a traumatized state, after hitting the young woman, Elinta Garo lost control over the vehicle, also hitting the couple Bagzan and Valentina Hysa.

A child with the initials RM was also presented to the hospital as an accident victim, whose life is out of danger.

The materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office for further procedural actions.
