After the cyber attacks of December 25 against the ONE telecommunications company and the Assembly of the Republic of Albania, AKCESK informs the public about the progress and the measures taken.

Since the announcement, our experts in collaboration with AKEP and international partners have been working non-stop to fully address and understand the nature of these attacks.

Through continuous cooperation and coordinated monitoring, AKCESK has managed to identify potential cases in real time, providing a quick and efficient response to protect critical and important information infrastructures.

Our efforts are focused on identifying the sources of the attacks, recovering the affected systems, and implementing preventive measures, resulting in the avoidance of similar incidents in other information infrastructures. Intensive work has been done to strengthen the security of the systems, ensuring that services are restored to full operation as soon as possible.

Our analysis has pointed out that the attacks do not originate from Albanian IP, helping us better understand the international dimensions of the threat. This incident has prompted AKCESK to review and strengthen its cyber security strategies, including developing specialized training for responsible staff and strengthening international cooperation.

AKCESK is continuously fully committed to managing the consequences of the cyber attacks that have occurred. We will continue to monitor the situation carefully and provide regular updates to the public and stakeholders.
