Arben Ahmetaj has reacted to the call that SPAK leader Altin Dumani made today during his speech in Parliament, where he invited Rama's former deputy minister to become a "collaborator" of justice, regarding the accusations that Ahmetaj has made publicly against his former socialist colleagues.
In a telephone conversation with journalist Çim Peka, on Syri television, Ahmetaj said that there is no reason to become an accomplice, since an accomplice is someone who has committed a crime.
"Even in legal terms, an accomplice is someone who has committed a crime. As Altin Dumani usually has, some Dumanis are usually there. I don't have to be an accomplice because I haven't committed any crime. I'm not talking about the presumption of innocence, which he addresses to parliament, I am an example of not two, but ten standards," Ahmetaj declared.
The former socialist minister further said that he was in front of Dumani when he was being investigated by him, but the head of SPAK "did not ask him any questions." Ahmetaj accused Dumani of multiple standards and of taking orders from the government.
"Second, I was in SPAK. Altin Dumani did not dare to ask me any questions. He took my case with zeal and violence, and came there and did not ask me any questions. What am I an accomplice to? What crime? The reform in justice has Altin Dumani as the pivot of failure, who is no longer with double standards, but according to pleasure and political order. Anyone who is an enemy of Rama is arrested...
"Okay, what evidence did he get about Thumanë-Kashari, which was done without a tender? That the concession format has been changed and Albanians are paying 1.3 billion? What evidence did he get about IPARD? What reason is there that the Oncology Department, instead of treating them, is not interested in them? What reason is there for the reimbursement of drugs? Why is it not dealing with the Tirana incinerator? Where is the money, it is in my office?" Ahmetaj declared.
Then, Ahmetaj made another strange statement, when he said that they wanted him in prison, so they could have him dead.
"They wanted me hanging and dead, that's why they wanted me to go to prison," he said.
