12 days after SPAK seized another villa hidden in Belinda Balluku's Palasa, former national football player Igli Tare has appeared again at the Special Prosecution Office together with his lawyer.
This is the second villa seized from Balluk, which SPAK suspects he hid in Tara's name. He is being investigated by the Special Prosecution for money laundering.
The second villa seized by SPAK order is located in Palasa. It has a plot area of 478 square meters, two floors with a total area of 271.2 square meters and two garages, respectively 20 and 40 square meters. According to the Special Prosecution, the villa is suspected of being acquired in exchange for favoring the company “Alko Impex General Construction”, which was declared the winner, together with another company, in the tender of approximately 30 million euros (including VAT) for lot 7 of the Tirana Ring Road.
Earlier, SPAK had seized another villa on the southern coast, in the “White Rocks” complex in Dhërmi, also registered in the name of Igli Tare. The Special Prosecution suspects that Balluku received this property as a bribe in exchange for favoring the construction company “Eurocol” in two tenders for the reconstruction of the Albcontrol building, worth over 1 million euros, at the time she was running the institution.
