Sad news has come to the world of medicine in our country, where the renowned gastrohepatologist at the University Hospital of Tirana, Skerdi Prifti, passed away yesterday Sunday.

The news was announced through a social media announcement by the "Mother Teresa" University Hospital Center in Tirana, which writes that Dr. Prifti dedicated himself for 40 years with professionalism and dedication to medicine and patients. While the QSUT emphasizes that he left a valuable contribution to the health service, as well as to the formation of generations of doctors who worked with him.

Doctor Skerdi Prifti completed his medical studies at the University of Medicine, Tirana, between 1981 and 1986. He also completed specializations and received international scholarships, including studies at Georgetown University.

The priest was also a lecturer at the University of Medicine in Tirana, where he contributed not only to the treatment of patients, but also to the education and training of new generations of doctors.
