After months of allusions and labeling in the media and social networks, new details have emerged regarding Kosovar model Ziza Pajaziti and her relationship with life-sentenced inmate Laert Haxhiu.
According to statements made public by the defense attorney on the show "With an Open Heart" on News24, Zize Pajaziti is not the person portrayed by the portals as an "escort", but Laert Haxhiu's cohabitant.
The lawyer has objected to the way her image has been treated in the media, emphasizing that a public lynching has been carried out against her without evidence and without a court decision.
Documents filed in the investigation file also seem to support this claim. According to media reports, Pajaziti has submitted a notarized statement to the relevant institutions stating that she cohabited with Laert Haxhiu while he was out of prison.
Likewise, Laert Haxhiu's lawyer has previously reacted by denying the claims of "illegal meetings" and demanding that the matter be handled legally and not through public labeling.
Sources close to legal protection indicate that the model's psychological condition has worsened significantly after denigrating publications and offensive comments on social networks.
According to them, she is facing constant emotional pressure, while there is no criminal verdict or proven accusation against her by the Albanian justice system.
The case has reignited the debate over media ethics and how public figures can be prejudiced before justice has been served. In the absence of a final decision, lawyers and analysts are calling for the presumption of innocence to be respected and labels that could seriously damage individuals' personal lives to be avoided.
