Albanian Defense Minister Ermal Nufi is in Mons, Belgium, where the Supreme Headquarters of the Allied Powers in Europe is located, as part of a summit of NATO countries, and says that he has received positive evaluations for our country.
Nufi emphasizes that he had a fruitful and constructive meeting with NATO's Supreme Allied Commander for Europe, General Alexus G. Grynkewich, who appreciated Albania's active contribution to Euro-Atlantic collective security.
Meanwhile, our minister says he has told the General about some of the major projects Albania is undertaking – such as the Porto Romano Naval Base and mobility along Corridor VIII – to strengthen NATO mobility, interoperability, and operational readiness.
"I received extremely positive assessments for Albania's active contribution to Euro-Atlantic collective security, for which our country stands shoulder to shoulder with the Allies, starting from peacekeeping missions to the most important international operations, in the service of peace," emphasizes Minister Ermal Nufi.
