Measures for Albania-Israel, 1300 police officers to guarantee order

Albania will return to play in "Air Albania" on Friday night against Israel, a valid match for the Nations League.

Meanwhile, the police have made public the measures taken to ensure public order before, during and after this meeting.

To ensure the smooth running, as well as to guarantee public order and safety before, during and after this international football match, a total of 1300 police officers will be engaged.

The measures taken by the State Police consist of several plans:

-Eskortimin dhe sigurimin e futbollistëve të ekipit të futbollit të Izraelit, nga aeroporti i Rinasit në hotel, në stadium dhe në kthim për në Rinas;

- Eskortimin dhe sigurimin e futbollistëve të ekipit të futbollit të Shqipërisë, në stadium;

- Kryerjen e kontrollit të hollësishëm në mjediset e stadiumit dhe brenda stadiumit, për persona të paautorizuar, sende dhe lëndë të ndaluara, para se të pranohen tifozët;

-Organizimin e pikave të kontrollit të sportdashësve para hyrjes në stadium në rrugën “Dervish Hima”, “Lek Dukagjini”, “Gjergj Filipi”, “Papa Gjon Pali II” dhe tek “Kolonat” në sheshin “Italia”;

- Mbështetjen e stjuartëve gjatë kontrollit të sportdashësve para hyrjes në stadium;

- Organizing services to guarantee public order before, during and after the football match, not only near the stadium, but also the control of the territory throughout the city of Tirana;

-Providing emergency service crossings;

-Management of road traffic in the city of Tirana, before, during and after the football match.

In order to guarantee security before, during and after the development of this international match, we have paid special attention to the cooperation with all actors and factors that have a role in the progress of this activity, among which we mention:

- Albanian Football Federation;

- Municipal Police;

- Fire Service;

- Private security companies (stewards and security personnel);

- Hospitals, health centers and first aid.

We have also established contacts and are cooperating with the security service personnel of the Israeli football team, in order to increase security standards before, during and after this international match.

For the progress of this activity, as well as to facilitate the circulation of vehicles in the city of Tirana, during June 10, 2022, from 16:00 until the end of the match, by the State Police, in cooperation with the Municipality of Tirana, will traffic restrictions are applied on some road axes near the stadium.

Special measures are foreseen and will be implemented for the control of the fans before entering the stadium, in order to prevent the entry of fireworks, flamethrowers, pyrotechnics and other solid items dangerous for the life and health of the participants, as well as the use and the trade of alcoholic beverages.

On this occasion we would like to remind all citizens that, according to the Criminal Code of our country, throwing solid objects on the field of play or over the mass of people, possession or use of pyrotechnics, fireworks, flamethrowers, during development of a sports activity, are punishable by imprisonment of six months to three years.

Also, according to the Criminal Code, violent actions in sports activities, such as: entering the field of play, during the development of sports activity, by unauthorized persons, constitutes a criminal offense and is punishable by a fine of 50,000 to 100,000 lekë. When this offense has hindered the normal development of sports activity, it is punishable by a fine or up to three months of imprisonment.

The State Police requires the understanding and cooperation of all citizens, for the implementation of the rules of entry and stay in the stadium, as well as the observance of restrictive measures for traffic, in order to ensure the smooth running of this activity.

In the end, we assure all citizens for the full readiness of the structures of the State Police, to guarantee the security standards before, during and after the development of this international match ", the police statement closes.
