Former President Alfred Moisiu: I went through 7 gates to get to Thaçi, I
Alfred Moses

Former President Alfred Moisiu for the visit he made to the former President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi.

Moisiu said that the prison where Thaçi was staying had 7 gates while adding that he was saddened when he saw a former president locked up there.

"It was a prison with 7 gates with different keys, one closed them and the other opened them. So a prison with exceptional security. It was very hard for me to see a former president locked up there. To see these people who sacrificed their lives and their families, everything they had, put their heads on the line. They behaved well, with courage, they believed in justice, but I don't have much faith in myself. This is to please the Serbs.

During the war, we had clandestine meetings at school and we were always told to do anything with Kosovo because the enemy is common. In Albanian schools in the years '36-'37, we sang about Kosovo and Chameri, here is death and here is freedom. So we were educated to demand an account of why these people are there and not here with us," he said in Euronews.
