The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, made serious accusations against the majority at a press conference for journalists. He said that the SP will donate 1.5 billion euros to local thieves. Berisha stated that the DP will also present its candidates very soon.

"The SP is distributing money for local elections. The SP is distributing 1.5 million euros to local thieves. It is clear that the DP is preparing for the 2027 local elections. This is a period where the DP is focused on local elections," Berisha declared.

He also explained the reasons why he is going to visit the United States of America, providing details about this case.

"I am going to Texas for a conference of the American Republican Party for the mid-term elections. I am in a delegation of the International Democratic Union, which I have been invited to participate in this conference. I have not had any notification from the American Embassy about when I will receive my visa," he said.

Speaking about the territorial reform, he once again condemned the new division proposed by the Socialist Party. He underlined that it is very important to take into account the opinion of citizens.

"Our stance is to address the citizens and move towards the citizens holding a referendum, as requested by the international community," Berisha concluded.
