In an effort to secure possible signatures for the dismissal of Enkelejd Akibeaj, Ervin Salianji has again continued the meetings with deputies of the parliamentary group of the Democrats. On Thursday morning, Salianji was seen climbing the blue headquarters, where his fellow MPs also arrived.
Ervin Salianji's move to dismiss Alibeaj and take the leadership of the parliamentary group of Democrats started in December. In his first attempt, Salianji managed to secure 21 deputies' firms within the two camps of the Democrats. But after the exception that Alibeaj made to four deputies, Tritan Shehu, Belind Kelliçi, Oerd Bylykbashi and Agon Shehaj, Salianji restarted the talks to get the support of a single deputy that he needs to dismiss Alibeaj.
While a part of the MPs lined up in Alibeaj's group have described the latter's decision to exclude 4 MPs from the group as a masquerade, others speak with concern about the current state of the Democratic Party.
Jorida Tabaku: I do not think and have never thought that the Democratic Party should reach this point. There is a group leader who I believe, for better or for worse, has exercised his function. The way the Democratic Party comes together is not by tearing it apart, but by being all together.
The chairmanship of the parliamentary group by Ervin Salianji seems to simultaneously strengthen Sali Berisha in the overwhelming majority of deputies, taking control of the leadership of both camps within the Democrats.
Due to the shrinkage, the DP parliamentary group has 35 MPs and in order to secure his leadership, Salianji needs 18 votes of MPs, including his own./Tv Klan
