The CEC will assess the legitimacy of the person from the Democratic Party who will bring the appropriate documentation when it comes to the proposals of the members of the CECs for the May 14 elections.

This was the attitude of the State Commissioner of Elections Ilirjan Celibashi when he was asked by journalists which of the PD parties the CEC will recognize.

Asked specifically what are the documents that prove the legitimacy of DP representatives, the chief commissioner explained that the legitimacy of those people who bring documents proving the tax to propose members to the CEC will be assessed. Celibashi also added that the CEC receives the documentation from the Court of Tirana.

During the statement for the media, the chief commissioner was asked by the journalists who are the representatives of the Democratic Party whom the CEC currently knows. He announced that the PD is currently represented by Marash Logu and Indrit Sefa.

However, Ilirjan Celibashi added that there is no lack of professional communications with Ivi Kason either.
The head of the CEC emphasized that the institution he leads does not decide which body or person leads a political party.

Meanwhile, in a lot cast during the day at the Central Election Commission, it was decided that the Socialist Party will choose the seventh member of the even-numbered KZAZs, while in the odd-numbered ones, it will be chosen by the Democratic Party.

The members of the CEAZs that will be proposed according to the results that the political parties secured in the last elections. More specifically: 2 SP members, 2 DP members, 1 PSD member of Tom Doshi and 1 member from the Freedom Party. The seventh member was decided today by lot.
