The meeting held on Tuesday in Tirana by Prime Minister Edi Rama with the Albanian political parties of North Macedonia continues to stir the politics of Skopje.
Prime Minister Dimitar Kovacevski not responding directly to the opposition's accusations in his address that the meeting was held to help him. He said that Prime Minister Edi Rama is a personality with a Euro-Atlantic orientation and a friend of North Macedonia.
"The orders that came out after the meeting in Tirana are precisely in the direction of the development of the European integration of North Macedonia and the Republic of Albania, with which let's not forget that we started the negotiations together on the same day".
But the opposition party, VRMO-DPMNE, says that there is no doubt that Dimitar Kovacevski is a servant of Ali Ahmet, who, according to her, is saving the prime minister's political career.
"LSDM and Kovacevski must answer if they will again receive harmful agreements from the meeting in Tirana, which they will accept without question in order to save their careers", reads a reaction of VMRO-DPMNE.
This political force continues by claiming that the consultations called by Prime Minister Edi Rama were a request of the head of the Skopje government to save his mandate.
"Neither the meetings nor the implementation of other people's agendas will save Dimitar Kovacevski and the SDSM from a catastrophic loss in the upcoming early parliamentary elections", says the reaction of VMRO-DPMNE.
Further, the phrase is repeated that "state affairs and national interests, as well as decisions for the state must be taken in North Macedonia and in the Assembly".
Only the Besa Movement did not participate in the meeting of Albanian parties in Tirana. Its head, Bilall Kasami, said that he will not sit at a table with the head of DUI, Ali Ahmeti. While Ahmeti himself has described this boycott as political immaturity.
