A nursing home nurse has discovered the 5 things patients regret most before they die.

Georgina Scul has been a health care worker for many years and has been close to many elderly people especially in the last days of their lives.

In her book, "Regrets of the Dying", the nurse has shown the wishes, wishes and regrets of the elderly that they had in the last moments before they died.

First wish: I wish I had the courage to do what I wanted and not what others wanted.

"This was everyone's regret. There has never been a patient who didn't think like that," said Georgina.

The second wish is: I wish I hadn't worked so hard.

"All the men I treated deeply regretted spending so much of their lives in their workplace," said the nurse.

Third wish: I wish I had the courage to express my feelings.

Fourth wish: I wish I had kept in touch with my friends.

"Many were so caught up in their lives that they let great friendships fade over the years," the nurse wrote.

Fifth wish: I wish I had never pretended and always been myself.
