A gesture by famous singer Eros Ramazzotti has revolted Italians en masse.

The singer was performing on the stage of Taormina's Antique Theatre when he decided to sing along with his eldely daughter, Aurora.

At one point he kissed his daughter on the lips. The video has since gone viral on social media and many have lauded it as a charming father and daughter relationship.

But even more were those who remained shocked and criticized.

"It's not normal to kiss your daughter on the lips, especially at an older age," someone wrote. Another says that "kissing on the lips between parent and child is a big no."

Others shared another moment, when the 59-year-old singer kisses his recently-becoming mother daughter while on stage.
