An unusual episode occurred during Sergey Lavrov's press conference in India , where the Russian diplomat interrupted his speech after a journalist's phone started ringing in the hall.
According to footage circulating on social media, the journalist answered the call and attempted to speak in a low voice, but his voice was heard during the conference.
At that moment, Lavrov stopped the statement and addressed him in harsh tones in English.
"Listen, can you let us continue? I'm not kidding," he said.
Immediately afterwards, the Russian chief diplomat addressed the security personnel with the words: " Guys, get him out of here! "
After a few seconds, Lavrov added: " Sir, I'm sorry. If you don't hand over the phone, they'll pull out the gun, you know ."
His comments were met with laughter by some in the audience, interpreted as a joke.
However, in the videos published online, Lavrov does not appear smiling, which has prompted numerous reactions and discussions online.
