Russian missiles have hit Ukraine's southern port of Odessa less than 24 hours after Ukraine and Russia agreed to an agreement that would allow grain exports to resume with the opening of Ukrainian ports.
Serhii Bratchuk, a spokesman for the Odessa military administration, said two missiles hit the port's infrastructure. At least six explosions were heard in Odessa according to Ukrainian MP Oleksiy Goncharenko.
CNN says the attack comes a day after ministers from Ukraine and Russia signed an agreement, brokered by the United Nations and Turkey in Istanbul, to allow grain exports from Ukrainian Black Sea ports aimed at easing the global food crisis caused by the war.
"That's everything you need to know about the "deals" with the Russians. Explosions at the seaport of Odessa. A day after the agreement with Turkey and the UN was signed to reexport Ukraine's grain under which Russia has committed not to bomb the port," Ukrainian MP Solomoniia Bobrovska wrote in Titter.
