Saidi Lobo, the son of former Honduran President Porfirio Lobo, and three of his friends, have been executed in cold blood while leaving a discotheque. Footage from security cameras shows the execution by masked gunmen.

The four friends were leaving a discotheque in the capital Tegucigalpa on Thursday night when gunmen stopped their car, forced them out, put them against a wall and then executed them in cold blood.

Porfirio Lobo has told local media that his son Saidi, 23, has died, while another of his sons, Luis, who was present but got into another car earlier, is now safe.

We recall that Porfirio Lobo, who ruled Honduras from 2010 to 2014 – has another son, Fabio, who is serving a prison sentence in the US for drug trafficking. The former president's wife, Rosa Bonilla, is also in jail in Tegucigalpa after being convicted in a corruption case that was uncovered while she was still first lady.
