The Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Sveçla, admitted that he received a watch as a gift in the amount of 20 thousand dollars from the Prime Minister of Qatar, which he had intended to return, but says that he was afraid that the relations between the two states could be hurt.

"In a superficial research I did, I realized that it is around 20 thousand euros and I immediately wrote to my superior, the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, with the idea that I would potentially return it," Sveçla told KTV.

"But, after the analysis and review of this scenario, it turned out that the relations between Qatar and Kosovo could be hurt and I have informed the Prime Minister that I will receive the gift, but not for myself personally. The time is at the Ministry of Internal Affairs and I declared it at the customs ".

"After the comfort I opened the gift and saw that it is an expensive gift that apparently is not extraordinary for these places, but for our circumstances I believe it is extremely expensive."

Sveçla stressed that he also handed over a gift to the Prime Minister of Qatar.

"I had the honor to meet the Prime Minister of Qatar in a bilateral meeting and earlier we handed over our gift which is a symbolic gift - is the map of Kosovo made in filigree."
