VMRO-DPMNE's "White Palace" will be confiscated. This is the verdict of the Criminal Court of Skopje in the case "Talir 2", while the confiscation includes about 30 other party headquarters.

Former VMRO-DPMNE leader Nikola Gruevski was sentenced to six years in prison for abuse of office, while former party secretary general Kiril Bozinovski was sentenced to two years probation.

"In a situation where criminal liability continues for illegal actions taken, and the benefit is that the items obtained from the commission of the criminal offense, be confiscated by both the perpetrator and third parties. "The message is clear that in the future no responsible person in political parties, or other state structures, should dare to commit this or any other similar criminal offense," said Daniela Aleksovska Stojanovska, a judge.

The court decided to unblock the land under the VMRO-DPMNE party headquarters. According to the prosecution, this will not affect the confiscation of the facility.

"It is possible, it is not impossible. If it were impossible, the court would not have ruled as it did. We withdrew the proposal for confiscation of land, because the land is not included in the criminal offense ", stressed Ljubomir Lape, prosecutor.

The legal representative of VMRO-DPMNE warned of an appeal to the higher courts. They say the aim is to take all the party property, not just the headquarters in Skopje.

"The rights of the political party VMRO-DPMNE have been violated. Respectively, during the procedure the representative of the political party VMRO - DPMNE was not heard to comment on all these circumstances. I will emphasize only one thing - the confiscation of all the property of a political party due to some actions of some of the accused is out of any common legal logic ", said Ruzhica Nikolovska, legal representative of VMRO-DPMNE.

According to the indictment, Gruevski and Bozinovski, as the first people of VMRO-DPMNE from 2011 to 2016, used their power from the position of power to secure a new party headquarters worth seven million euros./ Alsat
