Iran War/ US Embassy in Oman Orders Evacuation of Personnel

The United States Embassy in Oman has ordered the removal of non-essential personnel and their families from Oman, due to security risks related to tensions and war with Iran.

According to an updated statement from the United States State Department, the decision was made in light of the "threat posed" by Iranian drones and missiles, as well as the major disruptions to air traffic in the region.

Meanwhile, state media in Oman reported that two people were killed in a drone strike in the north of the country on Friday. The attack comes at a time when Iran continues to launch retaliatory attacks on neighboring countries amid escalating tensions in the region.

US and local authorities are monitoring the security situation, while recent developments have increased concern about stability in the Gulf region.
