Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan declared that his country would not be involved in the conflict between Iran, Israel and the United States, but stressed that Ankara is prepared for any threat to its security.

According to him, Turkey has intercepted a third Iranian ballistic missile launched towards Turkish territory.

Speaking about the security situation, Erdogan said Turkish authorities are taking preventive measures to protect airspace. " We are taking all preventive measures against any threat to our airspace, as we did last night," Erdogan said at an iftar dinner in Istanbul.

The Turkish president stressed that Ankara's main priority is to stay out of the escalation of the regional conflict.

"Our main priority is to keep our country away from this hell. Removing our country from this fire is our highest priority," Erdogan declared, adding that Turkey is ready to face any kind of threat.

The Turkish president also called on citizens to exercise caution amid sectarian and ethnic tensions that are being fueled amid attacks on Iran.

He said Turkey acts with " great caution in the face of conspiracies, traps and provocations that aim to drag our country into war."

Referring to Israel's actions in Gaza, Erdogan said that "some countries turn a blind eye to oppression and genocide, while others support genocidal actors like Israel."

"In a world that is suffering from a moral eclipse, we, as Turkey, are together striving to be the conscience of humanity," the Turkish president said.

"The suffering of orphaned children from Gaza and Syria attracted less attention than a lonely penguin, due to the false consciousness of the virtual world," he added.
