The deputies have failed to constitute the Assembly of Kosovo in the 12th attempt. The chairman of the session, Avni Dehari of LVV, once again insisted that the election of the Speaker of the Assembly take place through secret ballot.

Dehari asked political parties to propose names for the formation of the verification commission, but PDK, LDK, Serbian List, AAK and Nisma did not respond positively to this invitation.

There were 113 deputies present in the hall.

The constitutive session of the Kosovo Assembly began on April 15 and the process has stalled at the election of the speaker of parliament after the LVV failed to secure the necessary 61 votes for their candidate Albulena Haxhiu.

The session was adjourned and Dehari said that it would resume on May 9.
