As every year, this year as well, on the eve of the Kurban Bayram holiday, interest in the slaughter of sacrifices has increased. But, unlike other years when sheep for sacrifice could be found in any part of North Macedonia, now the animals can only be bought at sheep farms or specialized slaughterhouses in the city.

"At the moment I have over 160 sheep sold so far, but of course there are those who are still looking, but we are ready to take even more because until the second day of Kurban Bayram the believers are looking, I sell them here on my farm, I don't sell them on the street. Those who are interested come here and take them, I have customers outside Kumanovo, such as from Gostivar, from Kirço, but also from the diaspora, I slaughter the sacrifices and show them over the phone, as if I were present here", said Ekrem Fejzullahu, livestock farmer.

Fejzullahu says that, unlike last year, the prices of the victims have increased, from 30 to 50 euros.

"Normal enough, we are not satisfied with the sales, but when we see the economic and financial situation of the citizens, we can say that we are doing well, last year you could buy a good Kurban from me for 100 Euros, but this year the prices are 120, 130 Euros, although we didn't get them for free either, since I gave them q5 they reach the value of 150 Euros, but I sold them for 130 Euros, but the customer is satisfied as we perform all the services such as slaughtering, chopping and home delivery ", Fejzullahu told TVM2.

Slaughter of the Qurban is done after the Eid prayer and its meat is distributed to family members, neighbors and the needy.
