A "stream" of suicide drones have been launched from Iran, the Israeli military confirms in a statement.

The IDF calls on Israeli citizens to remain calm and follow their instructions.

"A few moments ago, Iran launched unmanned aerial vehicles from its territory towards the territory of the State of Israel.

The air defense group is on high alert at the same time as Air Force aircraft and Navy ships that are on a mission to protect the nation's skies.

The IDF is monitoring all targets.

We ask the public to follow the instructions of the Internal Front Command and the official IDF notifications on this matter," Israeli army spokesman Daniel Hagary said.
