To remove the corrupt, or the Maloches?

The half-century-old closure, class war, repression and more violence of the communist regime in most of the country's mountainous areas shaped for the first time the stereotype of the "maloch" through regime propaganda.

However, the regime itself made sure that this stereotype did not generalize, but only target its political enemies. Democracy after the 1990s revealed only freedom of speech and expression brought about side effect and albanian discrimination. Lushnjar was being called laluc, of the malok.

But even in this case, the albanian discrimination remained outside the institutions, which remained among the society, which took more than two decades to "rip" and transform the discrimination of the region from an insult, to generally humor.

Even the north itself calls the northerner "malok" in the form of a joke. But when the term 'malok' is introduced and pronounced by actors of a state institution, all the more so by officials who are claimed to have the purity, integrity and professionalization to establish justice for judges and prosecutors, there is a major problem here.

That's exactly what Genta Bungo, prosecutor Elisabeta Imeraj, called her. The least, which the member of the Independent Qualification Commission should have done today should have been apologies and resignations, because she has tarnished all reform in justice, for which in the last 6 years albanians have been invested and shown to be so patient.

The KPK member has chosen silence in the hope that the biggest strangeness lasts three days. But the protest organised this Friday in Tirana by civil society actors with slogans "I too am malok" is an indication that this case is an exception and so it should be.

For according to Genta Bungo, all energy, money, human resources and social will for the purge of the justice system in Albania is not a process to remove the corrupt, but to remove the Maloches.

If that's the case, citizens have the right to refuse it. New justice cannot rise above the stains of district discrimination.
