The government forgives other public properties for the Port of Durrës

The government increases the construction area for the tourist port of Durrës by 6,000 square meters.

The new area will be over 818,000 square meters, while the area for construction is 61,000. In the same decision, the name of the developer company was changed from 'Symphony Real Estate Development' to 'Eagle Real Estate Development'.

The company is registered in the NRC on May 25, 2021 as a branch of the parent company "Simphony Invest Limited", registered in the Cayman Islands, known as a fiscal haven.

The work on the construction of this port is in the initial phase. The cost is said to be over 2 billion dollars with the aim of making Durrës one of the most attractive ports in the Mediterranean for elite tourism.

But there are doubts about the seriousness of the project and the company that will build it. The same company is famous in Serbia for the "Waterfront" project with a cost of 3 billion dollars.

The project started in 2016 has not yet been completed, while many critics and economists in Serbia have described it as a bad and destructive joke for the city.

On the other hand, the Albanians will pay for the new commercial port, which will be built in Porto Romano.
