Acting Prime Minister Dritan Abazovic says that it should be checked if the case of the businessman Rezart Tacci, against whom the prosecution has brought charges of money laundering, is related to Montenegro.
Yesterday, SPAK filed a charge against Rrezart Taç and two of his associates for laundering 18.4 million euros and creating a criminal organization.
According to the previous statements of the Italian Prosecutor's Office, the money transfers were made through Montenegro.
"I cannot say whether the investigation leads to Montenegro, but I want to emphasize that in the investigation of the Taçi case, a large space is devoted to Montenegro, its connections with the former government and the use of banking services in Montenegro", Abazovic said after the session of the Security and Defense Committee.
"I cannot tell from the position of the prime minister whether it leads to any discovery and whether money has been laundered. When I saw the news this morning, I first thought about Montenegro", Abazovic said, Montenegrin media write .
The Serbian media wrote that Taçi mentioned the Montenegrin president Milo Djukanovic in the interceptions published by the Italian media about the case of money laundering coming from Cosa Nostra.
According to Tanjug, Taçi joined forces with a group of Italian citizens to transfer around 20 million euros to Albanian bank accounts, so that they would not be blocked by the Italian police.
