The Special Prosecutor's Office against Corruption and Organized Crime announced on Friday the end of the investigations and the sending for trial of the file against the controversial oil businessman Rezart Taçi and some accused as his collaborators and part of a structured criminal group.

The prosecution informed that Taçi, Artur Balla, Bledar Lilo with the Italian citizens Francesco Zummo, Fabio Petruzzella, Daniele Cestagalli and several other people are accused of "criminal offenses "Cleaning the products of criminal offense or criminal activity", "Structured criminal group ", "Perpetration of offenses by a structured criminal group"".
They are accused of trying to launder an amount of 18.3 million Euros which the prosecution says they blocked "in a bank account in a second level bank in Albania".

According to SPAK, the financial scheme was directed by Zummo and Petruzella, in collaboration with a Swiss citizen of Italian origin and the former Albanian oil boss, Rezart Taçi. However, in the wiretapping file that came from the Italian authorities, the Deputy Prime Minister of Albania, who at the time of the conversation was Arben Ahmetaj, is also mentioned.

Ahmetaj tried to bill this interception to his predecessor Erion Braçe, but referring to the interception document, Braçe's name is not mentioned.

But what is inside the file on this matter?

On page 40, the deputy prime minister is mentioned not by name, but by post, and where it is said that businessman Rezart Taçi claims that he spoke with the deputy prime minister and talked about reconfirming the position of the director of money laundering, and the goal was not to block the amount of more than 18 million euros in the bank "Alpha Bank" in Tirana.

"On the part of the deputy prime minister, the director of money laundering claimed reconfirmation in office in exchange for unlocking the blocked fund in "Alpha Bank", i.e. Zummo's fund. In return, the Deputy Prime Minister even intended to pretend that he was fulfilling the request of the Director of Anti-Recycling and to liquidate it later, after unlocking the funds (he put this son of a bitch in there)... "The director of anti-recycling has claimed that the deputy prime minister of the government told him that you will be re-appointed, you will be re-confirmed.... it means so., so he will sign the decree and two hours later, as if with a clap of hands, I will take him home because he broke it for us..."

The intercepted conversation between Fabio Petruzello and Marina Tizzi, his partner, is even transcribed in the wiretapping file.

Fabio Petruzello, shfaqet se ka besim se paratë do të nisen e se ndërmjetësit shqiptarë kishin mbërritur deri te kryeministri e nuk i rezultonte se llogaria bankare në “Alpha Bank” të ishte bllokuar.

Fabio: Sa më shpejt t’i zhdukim, sa më shpejt t’i çojmë në Hong Kong, aq më mirë është. Më tha të rri i qetë se kupton mirë, se fatmirësisht klienti është 90 vjeç, pra se ai me këtë do të fik qirinjtë, të sistemoj fëmijët…. kanë kaluar 3 muaj e çfarë ka kombinuar… tema është kjo që unë… më thotë “Fabio të kuptoj mjaft mirë por a e kupton se nuk varet nga unë, nuk varet nga unë…”

Lidhur sa më lartë duket se SPAK nuk e ka marrë në pyetje zëvendëskryeministrin Arben Ahmetaj, dhe aq më pak të pandehur. A kemi të bëjmë me një proces selektiv, ku hiqet nga përgjegjësia numri dy i qeverisë së kohës.
