The Minister of Infrastructure, Belinda Balluku

The Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy spends millions of lek per year to pay dozens of employees who have been laid off.

Sources of Voxnews.al claim that in the last three years, almost 500 million old lek have been paid as obligations to people who were unfairly dismissed from work, who have won through the court the right to return to work, or compensation.

Sources say that the figure goes even higher if the payment of social and health contributions is added, as required by law, for this group of people, and the total damage reaches approximately 650 million lek.

In relation to these unnecessary expenses, no measures have been taken by Minister Belinda Balluku against those in charge and managers who, with their decisions, have arbitrarily fired dozens of people.

Some of the people have won the right to return to work or compensation in court since 6-7 years ago and have not been liquidated yet. The value of the total obligations to them has increased significantly, also taking into account possible penalties due to delays.
