If it were only up to Sali Berisha, Belind Kelliçi would probably not be part of the candidates for mayor in Tirana.

However, the deputy has found the weak point of Sali Berisha, Ilir Meta.

When he came out of the headquarters of the Democratic Party and declared that Sali Berisha had proposed a name for the mayor of the municipal council, Ilir Meta was probably not completely honest, or rather he did not say everything in public.

After his meeting with Sali Berisha, the name of Belind Kelliçi as a potential candidate is circulating in the media. A few hours later, the MP announces his candidacy for the primaries. Coincidence? Hardly so.

More than coincidence, Belind Kelliçi is Ilir Meta's sponsor. Sali Berisha distanced him after the assembly of December 11 last year. But, Ilir Meta seems to have thrown the one who was leaving the door out the window again as a candidate in front of Erion Veliaj.

Kelliçi is grateful to the chairman of the Freedom Party for this promotion. Gratitude is also expressed through social networks, where the democratic deputy, who says that he has built a prison for Tirana and that he protects the persecuted, likes photos of Ilir Meta from Peza, where the former President had gathered young people and praised the national-liberation war .

However, nothing should come as a surprise anymore. When a former collaborator of the state security, as denounced by the Dossier Authority, was transformed into the greatest defender of the constitution and democracy, Belind Kelliçi can also be transformed as a descendant of the national-liberation war, which in the years of transition in Albania is identified mainly with the left.
