The Sequestered and Confiscated Assets Administration Agency (AAPSK) reports a significant increase in income from the rental of assets under administration during the first nine months of 2025.
According to official data, 162.2 million lekë had been collected by the end of September, compared to 109.5 million lekë in the same period a year earlier – an increase of 48.2%.
September was the best month of the year, with 22.4 million lek in revenue, almost 49% more than September of last year. According to the agency, this performance was driven by the formalization of new lease contracts, especially during the months of March, July and September.
If the current trend continues, annual revenues are expected to exceed 200 million lekë, marking the highest historical record in the administration of seized and confiscated assets.
"Compared to 2024, this year's revenues are about 53 million lek higher, reflecting better performance almost every month," AAPSK states.
But beyond the numbers, the Agency emphasizes that it is increasingly focusing on the social use of confiscated assets, in collaboration with municipalities and social organizations, to return the assets to the service of the community.
"Success is not measured only by income, but also by how these assets are converted into value for society," the AAPSK announcement states.
