US President Donald Trump has blamed immigration for the unrest in France, calling on Paris to tighten migration rules and take control of its borders.

"France is burning! The immigration of people from a completely different world, people with hate in their hearts, has destroyed that once great country. Close the borders and take control, before it's too late!" Trump said.

Even US Vice President JD Vance has blamed immigration policies for the violence during the protests in France.

In a post on the social network X, where he shared images of the Limoges municipality engulfed in flames, Vance criticized diversity policies and the lack of integration of immigrants.

"Western liberals brought people from the third world to France and other countries, in the name of diversity and compassion. They ignored the fundamental issues of assimilation and compatibility. They were warned that this would bring such consequences, but they did not listen. I hope that France, a beautiful country with wonderful people, stops this madness, before more of its monuments are burned," said JD Vance.

The statements come at a delicate moment for France, which has been facing violent protests for several days.
