The government's plans for the return of bands for charging electricity mean that the price increase will not affect only 30% of consumption.
This is due to the structure or division in its category, where for a part the price has already increased, a part is in the liberalized market, a large amount is a loss in the network, while for the rest the increase is being sought through the return of bandages .
More specifically, according to official data for the 6th month of this year, 22.2% of total consumption was loss in the transmission and distribution network, 11% of energy is consumed by businesses that have entered the liberalized market and provide through individual contracts with other suppliers the necessary energy, while for 12.4% of consumption, which includes the businesses supplied by OSHEE, as the Supplier of Last Chance, the price has already increased by about 70%.
In the rest, 54.4% of the consumption is made up of family and non-family consumers who are supplied with prices regulated by OSHEE. But, if we take into consideration the government's plans that aim to increase the cost of energy, through the return of bandages for family members, then this means that the increase will also include 24% of consumption.
This is because it was initially declared that the price increase would start for families that consume more than 700 kwh of energy per month, which according to official data affected 24% of the total consumption. Recently, the Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku, has stated that the second batch will start from 800 kwh, although the final decision on the price change belongs to the Energy Regulatory Body./scan
