When only one year has passed since the tragedy in Velipoja, where four members of the Gjoka family lost their lives, the images of the moment of the explosion of the gas cylinder, on the morning of July 4, 2021, have been published.

The video published by OraNews shows the moment when the entire first floor is engulfed in flames within a few seconds.

The serious event that shocked the country happened on July 4, 2021, where after the gas explosion in the hotel owned by the Gjoka family, a mother and her three children, two daughters and a son, lost their lives.

The four members of the Gjoka family, from Gajushi i Lezhë, had gone to clean their hotel in Velipoja, to make it ready for vacationers, but the morning of July 4 was shocking for them.

The mother had gotten up to make the coffee, but as soon as she lit the gas cylinder, a fire broke out due to the gas leakage of the seven cylinders, burning the hotel and seriously injuring them. They were sent for treatment in Italy, but could not survive.

First, 19-year-old Daniela Gjoka died in Italy, while a few days later her 15-year-old sister Klarisa Gjoka also died in Italy, where she was receiving specialized treatment. Just a few days later, their mother and 12-year-old minor son passed away.

The only person who survived the tragedy was the father of three children, as he was not in Albania at the time.
