Arbër Paplekaj, the former officer of the RENEA Special department, has officially been charged by the Elbasan prosecutor's office
Paplekaj is accused of "Murder in qualifying circumstances" to the detriment of 1 or more persons committed in a dangerous manner for the lives of many individuals" as well as "Wounding of the State Police employee". The decision to indict and close the investigation was communicated to Paplekaj last week in prison by the prosecutor of the case, Ritvan Suka.
The former police officer Arbër Paplekaj is the author of the murder of Pjerin Xhuvan (Pipi), the attempted murder of his son-in-law, Eltjon Bodinaku, as well as the wounding of the police officer, Xhensila Sota.
Until this stage of the investigation, the prosecutor's office of Elbasan has not been able to find out which of the persons in the clash with weapons on April 21, 2021, injured the two former police officers Emiljan Prenga, Pavlo Vuksani, who were part of the Structure of Vote Protection of the Democratic Party, where Arbër Paplekaj also joined.
For the discovery of the perpetrators of their injury, the investigation has been divided into another proceeding, leaving other tasks to the criminal police, in order to discover the event.
At the same time, the closure of the investigations and the communication of the accusation of "Abuse of duty" was also made to the two deputy directors of the Elbasan District Police, Nikollaq Palla and Albert Nushi, who are currently under the security measure of "house arrest".
Ora learns that as defendants in this file, 6 officers of the "Shqiponja" patrol, such as Dedjon Duraku, Pëllumb Bicaku, Erjon Balla, Besmir Kadiu, Donald Dedja and Erjon Mecja, have been taken, who will face in court the charge of "Declaration of fake".
It is learned that the young man Eldjo Beko has also been charged, against whom it is learned that the prosecution has brought the charge of "Actions that prevent the discovery of the truth".
As for Klemend Xhaferi, or as he is otherwise known in Elbasan as "Kel Çami", the dismissal of the murder charge has been requested, since the footage shows that he did not have a weapon in his hand and did not commit any illegal actions against the persons at the scene.
But he runs to avoid the bullets. Xhaferi remained on the run for 13 months, while he was released from prison on May 13, 2022, following a decision given by the Elbasan court.
From the cartridges found at the scene, it appears that the former RENEA officer, Arbër Paplekaj, shot 7 times from a Glock 9mm pistol, while the Israeli pistol, which has not yet been found, was shot 13 times. At the scene there are three types of weapons with which he was shot.
