The tabloid "Daily Mail" writes that human traffickers, mainly Albanians, who make possible the illegal passage of people to Great Britain are not stopped even by tragedy.

The Daily Mail points out that just six hours after six people drowned, dozens of ads offering small boat trips in Britain continue to be active on TikTok and Instagram. The traffickers justified the tragedy by inhumanely saying that they were not "their customers".

Human traffickers continued to advertise dangerous Channel crossings to would-be migrants last night, despite the tragedy in France where six people drowned. Dozens of ads offering small boat trips in Britain continue to be active on TikTok and Instagram, with cash-grab thugs trying to lure customers with assurances of safety. One told an undercover Mail reporter on Sunday that we would not suffer the tragic fate of those who died if we paid £3,000 for a journey from Calais to Dover leaving at dusk.

When we raised the concern about the boat that sank, they told us, “Not everyone drowns. We make trips every day, most of them successful. The sea will be super calm. Come now!".

Border Force sources revealed that the rafts were becoming increasingly overcrowded. They said that the ship that capsized yesterday had 70 people on board.

July appears to have been a month of heavy travel to the UK, with August set to eclipse this month. And despite the tragedy, just over 500 migrants crossed the Channel yesterday, making it the fourth busiest day of the year.

An Albanian smuggler offering passages on TikTok posted footage of migrants dragging a small black boat across the Channel from France hours before the tragic journey was set to begin.

Peter Bone MP, former chair of the all-party parliamentary group on human trafficking, said: “These criminal gangs care nothing for human life. People are just a commodity to them. These are not good people helping poor refugees seek a safer life. They are charging individuals for extremely dangerous journeys across the Channel with promises of comfort and wealth. Their assurances that the journeys will be safe are lies. They don't care if someone drowns, they only care about the money. We can only hope that this acts as a wake-up call that tough measures are needed to stop people plying this utterly evil trade."
