Gramoz glacial lake

The news that one of the most interesting lakes in the world has been discovered in Albania, and not far from the border with Greece, seems to have caused some revolt among our southern neighbors, who have seen that they have lost this miracle of world value for "a matter of meters", causing them to reconsider the border once again.

This time, the de-facto Greeks have "robbed" through Google another lake, perhaps no less important than the one discovered deep underground in Leskovik.

It is about the glacial lake of Gramoz, also known as Lake Beznja, which Greek officials claim to have been theirs, and that Albanians have "moved the border pyramids" by appropriating it.

The scandal does not stop here, as Greek media say that Lake Gramoz, located at an altitude of 2,350 meters on Mount Gramoz in Ersekë, is the largest glacial lake in... Greece.

They even accuse Prime Minister Edi Rama, who had previously posted picturesque photographs of this lake - accompanied by the caption "Beautiful Albania" - of using a Greek asset for tourism in Albania.

According to Greek officials, the border change began about two years ago, until a year ago, the lake - on Google Maps - was completely moved within Albanian territory.

Former head of SYRIZA's National Defense Department, Evangelos Apostolakis, has claimed that Albanians have moved the pyramids inside the Greek border, appropriating this lake.

The General Staff of the Greek Army has already contacted Google, forcing the latter to push the border again to give Greece Lake Gramoz, but they are still unhappy because Google has decided to cross the border in this area in the middle, dividing the lake into two parts, half for Greece and the other half for Albania.

The mayor of Nestorio in Kastoria, Christos Gkosliopoulos, also complained about this and said that he has notified the highest authorities in Greece, who have responded that they are "aware of the problem" and that they are working to fully take Lake Gramoz within their territory, reports Voxnews.al.

The current Google map divides the lake between Albania and Greece.

Surprisingly, even on Wikipedia, there are two pages dedicated in Albanian to the same lake. One page describes Gramoz Lake as a Greek lake, and the other does not mention "nationality" but says that the lake is located near the Starje hill, which is an Albanian village in the Kolonja area.
