"The dismissal of Nano is enough", journalists - Çuçit:

Edi Rama decided today to dismiss Gledis Nano from the post of state police director with the argument that he has not met the objectives for order and security.

"The government made a decision to dismiss the police director, which is related to the non-fulfillment of the objectives we had set.

Mainly with the situation created in the last months, which normally requires a stronger response and efficient management. For the moment, the duties will be performed by the director of the police", said Minister Bledi Çuçi.

But will changing the name solve the problem? "The work will be versatile. These have been one of the main reasons that the police and the leader require a stronger response and more efficient management," he said.

Journalists asked the minister if he felt responsible for the level of criminality and recent events, or was the director alone to blame?

"Without question there is a degree of responsibility. Until now, the government has thought that changing the management through the dismissal of the director is an efficient measure to have a stronger reaction", he said.
