"It was the government that no longer wanted Gladys Nano. He didn't want Gladys Nano to protect the uniform and he didn't want to implicate the police in the spring of 2023 elections." This is how journalist Elton Qyno analyzes the dismissal of Nano months after taking office.

September is expected to be a very hot political month, while local elections will be held next year.

"Today, the campaign for the government has started. The scheme and the implementation of the vote stealing mechanism has started. It takes an individual to defend the theft of the vote, on the ground, with papers without starting the criminal proceedings and Gladis Nano could not guarantee this", Qyno argued in the studio of Ora News journalist Qyno.

Gladis Nano did not come from politics, but at the proposal of the US embassy in Tirana, Qyno said that he has already shown details of the meeting that took place on August 25, where Minister Çuçi asked him to resign.

"In order to get rid of him, it has been decided to dismiss him so that he will not be part of the management. Minister Çuçi, coming back from vacation on August 25, called Gladis Nano and asked for her resignation. At the moment when Nano insisted that there were no reasons to resign, plan B was implemented, making the proposal for dismissal from the government. How can you achieve the objectives within 10 months when the police was not what you got today but it was what happened in 2013 and worse it continued".

Also, with the dismissal of Nano, the journalist says that a strong message had to be conveyed.

"The replacement with Toni Vocaj was a flash because he had to be fired immediately not only because of the rebellion, but also to convey the message that anyone who opposes should hide from the administration once and for all ," said Qyno.
