A serious incident happened in the early hours of Saturday in Tirana. The police announced that an employee of prison 313 was raped and his service weapon was taken immediately after he left his apartment.

The AL officer was hit by three perpetrators near his apartment in Yzberisht on "3 Martyrs" street.

The perpetrators were in a white SUV and the Police is working to identify them.

It is known that the perpetrators hit the officer on the head with a baseball bat.

At the moment the officer took out his service weapon, the perpetrators took it, while the victim only had the magazine left.

In the preliminary testimony, the officer said that he suspected because of his duty.

However, for the investigators, another track of a conflict with other persons that is not related to the work as a prison officer is being investigated.

The young man also worked in nightclubs, where he may have had a conflict with the perpetrators who then raped him.

Currently, the 36-year-old is in the hospital under the care of doctors, out of danger for life.

"On 28.09.2024, around 05:00, on "Tre Dëshmorët" street, Yzberisht, citizen AL, 36 years old, resident of Yzberisht, (employee near prison 313) just left the apartment and was allegedly hit with hard objects by three still unidentified people, who took his service weapon and then left.

Currently, the 36-year-old is in the hospital under the care of doctors, out of danger for life.

The investigative group is working to catch the suspected perpetrators and clarify the circumstances of the incident," the police announced.
