Prime Minister Edi Rama has stated that the double employment of doctors, after the scandal at the Onocology Hospital, will only be possible through obtaining approval.
In the "Flasim" podcast, Rama said that a doctor must notify and get approval to work privately, adding that "it can't be 'I'm leaving'."
The Prime Minister also emphasized that "taking the patient here and there is a serious breach of the code of ethics", referring to their sending by white shirts from state hospitals to private ones.
While he added that hospitals in Albania insult those who have not seen them in recent years, saying that they "have memories of the past".
Edi Rama : It is not an easy adoption. While this connection between the public and the private sector, simply because of the lessons we learned from the untold stories of the Oncologist, we have that simply the doctor who works in the public sector can work in the private sector, but he must notify and obtain approval. It can't be "Come on, I'm leaving". The behavior of the patient here and there is a serious violation of the code of ethics.
Even the equipment compared to countries that are at the top of the world, such as Spain, we have shortcomings. We have the basic apparatuses, but we need them to perform more specialized actions.
What happened at Oncology was very touching, so it was an indication that we need to improve the system, the way of management.
We have very good doctors, there is no doubt about it. When a case like that comes out, or like that of the Sanatorium, a nurse there during the pandemic, these are cases that strike confidence in the system.
Hospitals in Albania curse those who have not seen them in recent years, have memories of the past. They did not need to go, they say 'where there are hospitals'.
I have heard foreign professors say "We can't believe that there is a hospital in Albania like the one for internal diseases". I try to be realistic. Yes, I saw it. Gray is not sorry, man. Yes, I saw it. Pink can bring pink.
