All illegal constructions for profit that have been legalized will be canceled. This is what Prime Minister Edi Rama has warned, emphasizing that no building built after 2020 for profit purposes will be legalized.

" Legalization is an abusive terminology used by individuals, entities that for profit begin occupying public spaces and then make a self-declaration that puts them as individuals in the legalization process. The legalization process by law was closed in 2020, so nothing built after 2020 is legalized.

"We will consider all self-declarations for buildings or structures for profit to be invalid, we are not here to discuss the homes of families who have built a house to put their heads in, and the public interest will prevail in all cases when an intervention needs to be made and no one can pull out a piece of paper to say I am in the process ," said Prime Minister Edi Rama at the meeting with the deputies and leaders of the Municipality of Tirana.
