Deputy Commissioner Arben Pjeçi

The Deputy Commissioner of the Durrës Police, Arben Pjeçi, ended his life with his service weapon, while his colleagues found him without signs of life after tearing open the door of his office.

As the Durrës Police announced, for several days, Pjeçi was in a serious psychological condition, after being suspended from work, following the final decision of the court for "slight injury".

"The police employee, in the conditions of depression due to the penalties brought by the final punishment decision that conditioned him in the future with the termination of the working relationship with the State Police, committed suicide with the service weapon in the premises of the work office, at the Durres Police Station", announced the Durres police.

In 2022, Pjeçi punched and kicked his neighbor, who was also sentenced by the court for minor injury. The conviction by a final decision by the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Durrës, brought about his suspension from duty and then the suicide of the officer in the conditions of depression.
