The motorcycle was followed by the victim's father, with an Audi type car, in which two other people were traveling.
The father, according to ELAS sources, shot the perpetrator of his son's injury.
The passenger of the Audi, who tried to run for cover, was hit and injured by a passing car.
At the same time, the passenger of the Mercedes who had previously opened fire left the car. Immediately after that, he stopped a passing driver and took his vehicle, a black Yaris, at gunpoint and fled towards Agioi Anargyros.
The police launched a search for the Albanian who escaped from Patisia and located him on 124 Avenue, in Agioi Anargyrou, where he allegedly intended to commit a robbery in a bar.
The suspect tried to flee on foot. The patrol car followed him. Afterwards, the Albanian shot at the police officers, injuring one in the leg, while the second received a bullet in the shoulder.
The police returned fire, fatally wounding the gunman.
Meanwhile, the female driver of the Mercedes was also arrested.
The two injured police officers were transported to the General Military Hospital 401 of Athens.
