Nako Mehmetaj and Anxhelo Breshani

The two people you see in the following photos are officers Anxhelo Breshani and Nako Mehmetaj, who were assassinated this evening in the "Partizani" neighborhood in Vlora, but fortunately escaped unhurt.

They were shot on the move while traveling in their "Audi" type vehicle by an as yet unidentified person who was traveling in a "Volkswagen" type vehicle.

The police found 5 shell casings at the scene, as the perpetrator is suspected to have left in the direction of the Vlora River.

The two young men were returning from the gym, while in the testimony before their colleagues they said that they have no conflict with anyone and that they suspect that the incident happened because of a parade.

However, the police are investigating two tracks, both due to duty and personal conflicts of the two young men.

The police seized the security cameras in the area in order to clarify the incident.

Anxhelo Breshani is an employee of the General Patrol at the Vlorë Police Station, while Nako Mehmetaj is an employee of the Sarandë Border Police.
