The National Food Authority in Shkodra, during an inspection of the entity "Nail Idrizi", which operated a dairy business, seized 7,196 kg of white cow's cheese.

The inspection team has also decided to immediately block the entity's activity until hygiene and sanitary standards are met.

A fine of 300,000 lek has been imposed on the entity for violating hygiene conditions.

A fine of 100,000 lek has also been imposed for violating product traceability requirements.

The AKU announcement states that "controls will continue with intensity to guarantee food safety and consumer protection."

Earlier, the National Food Authority has blocked significant quantities of food products in Tirana, which do not meet safety standards. For Prime Minister Edi Rama, the food safety chapter, when it comes to negotiations with the European Union, is the most complex.

"The inspection reform must continue and its political direction by all ministries is key in the sense of protecting it from party interference and political intrigues. It started with the NQA, it is being extended to other inspectorates to guarantee quality human resources," the head of government declared.
