Catholic believers celebrate Easter

Catholic believers celebrate Easter today, one of the most important days of their religious calendar.

The celebrations began on the evening of Holy Saturday, which precedes the Holy Night of Easter, where believers awaited the most important act of the holiday: the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

At St. Paul's Cathedral, the ceremony took place in a special atmosphere, amidst prayers and liturgical songs, as the Archbishop of the Metropolitanate of Tirana-Durrës, His Grace Arjan Dodaj, in his speech emphasized peace, love and solidarity as fundamental values that should guide society.

Since the early hours of this Sunday morning, churches in the capital and throughout the country were filled with believers, who participated in the solemn mass organized on the occasion of Christ's resurrection, where clergy called for more understanding and hope in these challenging times.

Outside the church premises, believers wished each other health, happiness, and harmony in their families!

Easter continues to be a celebration that unites believers, bringing a strong message of hope and spiritual renewal.

Easter is the most important holiday of the Christian faith and in it believers commemorate the resurrection of Christ, three days after the crucifixion, symbolizing the victory of life over death, hope and rebirth, forgiveness and faith. In addition to prayers and reflection, in the homes of Christian believers during this day there is no shortage of festive lunch and red eggs as a symbol of this holiday.

President Bajram Begaj congratulated believers on the Easter holiday, emphasizing the message of hope, love and faith.

He writes that Easter symbolizes the victory of good over evil, light over darkness, and life over death. He wishes that this holy day brings peace, joy, and blessings to every Albanian family.

Prime Minister Edi Rama has made a special congratulatory message.

"Happy New Day," he writes on social media alongside the following video made with Artificial Intelligence.
