Governor Fullani lost his job, was prosecuted and even arrested for a few days, only that some were missing from the inventory of coins taken out of use.
The Governor was punished because some employees of the support services at the Bank stole out-of-use banknotes, a total of about 7 million dollars (the equivalent of the lek stolen from the trash can).
This was under the "old" and "corrupt" justice system.
Today, with the new justice system, reformed as much as possible, the State Bank loses at least 150 million euros in commercial activity, where the Bank is not supposed to lose. The state bank has no commercial purpose.
The financial reserve that the Bank maintains by law for a bad day has dropped from 30 billion ALL to less than 5 billion.
But today's Governor and no one else in the Bank DOES NOT GET A THORN IN THE LEG!!!
I am not asking for the imprisonment of anyone, but for equality before the law and responsibility before the public office: The Governor resigns from that office.
Well, the damage done to the bank today is dangerously higher than the useless coins stolen yesterday.
Yesterday they stole the garbage can and they were held responsible. Today they touched the safe, but no responsibility.
That's the difference!
Don't let any financial emergency happen to us because the Bank's reserve has gone to waste.
It is strange that even the news about this scandalous financial damage does not receive any media coverage.
God bless you!
That we are done for this country.

The Bank of Albania closed the year 2022 with a record loss of 31.2 billion ALL, compared to the losses of 1.9 billion ALL recorded in 2021. The losses came as a result of the rapid increase of interests in the domestic and international market, which reduces the current value of the securities of the debt held by this financial institution, as well as from changes in the exchange rate, specifically, the significant strengthening of the lek against the euro and the dollar, the currencies in which part of the assets of the country's central bank are held.
The Bank of Albania has total assets of 732 billion ALL, of which 485 billion are invested in debt securities, including debts of the Albanian government. While interest on debt securities rose rapidly last year, the present value of debt securities held by BSH from previous years' purchases fell. This caused the value of the debt instruments held by BSH to decrease by ALL 13.5 billion, a trend that continues since last year. At the same time, the Bank of Albania lost ALL 4.2 billion from the trading of debt securities.
As a result of the losses, the reserves and capital of the Bank of Albania fell from ALL 30 billion in 2021, to slightly more than ALL 5 billion in 2022.
