Six days ago, Greek as well as Albanian public opinion was shocked by a serious crime in Volos and what was revealed afterwards. Fatmir Talellari, 50 years old, shot and killed his brother-in-law, 33 years old, Erjon Pelivani, after he suspected that he had sexually abused his 18-year-old daughter.

Recently, the Greek media have made public a testimony of the girl about how the event unfolded. She has shown that the abuses started at the age of 9, while she was raped for the first time when she was 12 years old.

"I told my dad that someone molested me when I was 9 and raped me when I was 12. I burst into tears. Dad hugged me. He reacted coldly and told me that he would always be by my side. He told me that we would find a lawyer to report him," said the girl.

According to her, her abuser repeatedly took money from her by blackmailing her with a video. 

"He told me he needed money because he was in need. I had 1,000 euros in my bag that my father had given me in the morning for the rent. When he returned to the car he told me that he had taken the money from my purse and that he would not bother me again. I begged him not to do anything with the video. The next day I discovered that he had 150 Euros left from the money I had in my bag. I was afraid of him. I was afraid he would hurt me, my sisters and my dad," she said.

The girl is a student in Greece. Her father rented her an apartment and gave her the money to pay for it. Last Sunday, the owner of the house called her and informed her that the rent payment was late, and here the truth began to be revealed.

"My father was informed by the owner of the house that I owed him 4 rents, about 1040 euros. My father had given me this money, but I had not paid it. The next morning, my father came to see me. At first I didn't want to tell him, but later I explained the whole story from the beginning. I asked him to stay calm and decided to find out what happened to me years ago.

He asked me who he was, but I didn't have the courage to tell him. The lawyer told me to write what happened to me. I visited a specialist. My father was by my side, crying, feeling sorry for what happened to me. He wanted to protect me, he hugged me. He insisted that I tell you who he was," she continued.

The 18-year-old wrote in a diary everything that happened to her since the first sexual harassment. On Tuesday morning last week she broke down in tears and revealed the name of the abuser.

"Father started crying and blaming himself for what happened to me. I felt bad for him and told him that he is the step brother of his second wife. After hearing this, he was shocked. This is when I insisted that I proceed with the lawsuit. I asked him for time to talk to the psychologist and he seemed to agree," she said.

After the crime, Talellari went to the lawyer's office. The girl was also present there, to whom she told that she hit Pelivani, but she did not know if he was alive or dead. Then the 50-year-old informed the police that he will surrender.

"In the lawyer's office, my father saw me worried. I had never seen it like that. Then he told me "I hit him, I don't know if he is dead". He didn't tell me who, but I knew what he meant. I had a panic attack. I don't remember many things. I remember my dad taking the police and saying “I hit someone, it's a silver car. I don't know if he is alive or dead. In 10 minutes I will come to surrender," the girl quoted.

The girl said that the last rape happened two months ago at the house in Volos.

"He forced me to meet him because he told me that if I didn't meet him, he would send us the video he had on his cell phone. I got into his car and at one point got out because I felt that I didn't want to have close contact with him. I asked him to stop harassing me and he said "ok, this will be the last time".

The video with which the 33-year-old blackmailed the young woman is 36 seconds long. According to the 18-year-old, he filmed her when she was 13 or 14 years old.

"The video exists. I have seen it. He showed me a year ago with pictures and in November when we last met he sent it to my mobile and deleted it. The video is 36 seconds long. He is in my house in a room from Argalasti. His face is not clear, but his tattoo is visible. I was in bed in a bad state. He came over me. I must have been 13 or 14 at the time. I have never allowed such a thing," she says.

The young woman has shown how everything started.

"At the age of 9 I was sexually molested for the first time by... He is my stepbrother. He forced me to lie down in front of him under the pretext that we were watching a movie. He put his hand around my neck and then lowered it to my chest. As he passed he touched me in different places. He told me to sleep. He pretended to sleep but tried to touch me with his hand. By the age of 12, he would touch me in various places and make movements in order for me to do the same. He pressured me and continued to touch me in inappropriate places. Other times he took off my blouse and caressed my breasts. Every effort I made to leave was in vain," she confessed, according to Greek media.

Fatmir Talellari was placed under house arrest this Monday in connection with this event. His three daughters, who were present at the hearing, burst into tears when the jury handed down the verdict.

The author Fatmir Talellari turned himself in to the police on the day of the incident, saying that he had killed his brother-in-law after learning from his daughter that he had been sexually abused by 33-year-old Erjon Pelivani for 9 years in a row.
